旧門司税関 Historical Moji Custom Building
1912年に建てられた旧門司税関を平成6年に北九州市が特注の赤煉瓦を用いて再建したものです。
Kitakyushu City restored the building with special ordered red bricks in 1994 that was historical Moji Custom built in 1912.

【郊外】青の洞門 Aono-Domon (Blue Tunnel)
禅海和尚が安全な道を作るため資金を集め、石工たちを雇ってノミと槌だけで30年かけて1750年に一期工事を完成させた日本初の有料トンネル。
It is the first toll tunnel that a Buddhist monk Zenkai made up in 1750 for saver traffic to collect donations and to hire masons only with hammers for 30 years.

【郊外】宇佐神宮 下宮 Usa-Jingu Gegu Shrine
「下宮参らにゃ片詣り」と言われる宇佐神宮下宮の二之御殿です。
"If you skip Gegu, it might be half visit". The well known saying is for this place. The photo is the 2nd Palace of Gegu shrine in Usa-Jingu.

旧湖月堂赤煉瓦館 Kogetsudo-Akarennga-Kan
今はラトリエ・ドゥ・アカレンガという洋菓子店になっていますが、大正７年に建てられた赤煉瓦の倉庫を改装したものだそうです。
It is a patisserie named "L'atelier d' AKARENGA" that was renovated old brick warehouse built in 1918.

若戸渡船 Wakato Ferry

旧三菱合資会社若松支店 Mitsubishi-Goushi Co. Wakamatsu Branch Building
上野ビル（上野海運ビル）といったほうがとおりがいいのかもしれません。多くの映画やCMのロケ地として幾多のクリエイターにインスピレーションを与えてきました。
This building is often called Ueno Building (Ueno-Kaiun Building) now. It has given much unique inspiration to a lot of creative people as good locations of many movies and commercial films.

金鍋 Kinnabe Restaurant
初めて牛鍋を九州にもたらした明治創業の老舗料亭。大正時代の歴史ある木造三階建て。
This restaurant brought Kyushu "Gyunabe"(Sukiyaki) for the first time in Meiji era. It was rebuilt as three stories wooden building in 1910s.

ロシアによって戦前に大連に建てられた東清鉄道汽船会社事務所のレプリカ。
大連との友好都市協約締結15周年を記念して建てられた。
The replica of East-Qing Rail & Ship Co. built in Dalian by Russia before WW2. It was newly built here as the memorial building for 15 years aniversary of friendship agreement with Dalian City.

平尾台 Hiraodai Plateau
日本有数のカルスト台地です。羊が点在するように見えることから羊群原（ようぐんばる）と呼ばれています。
One of the largest karst plateau in Japan. As the white rocks look like many sheeps, they call it "Yogunbal"(Field of sheeps swarmed)
